GLASGOW, Ky. (WBKO) -- The Glasgow Fire Department says it was called out to investigate two suspicious fires that occurred overnight on Monday.
According to a press release, the first call was regarding a passenger vehicle found at 415 Samson Street. Officials say the 1999 Saab had burnt sometime during the night and there were items still smoldering and firefighters extinguished the hot spots.
According to the Glasgow Fire Department, the fire is suspicious, they began an investigation to which the police department was called in to help.
The Glasgow Fire Department got a second call while crews were still responding to the first fire. Officials say as Lowes employees arrived to start their shift, they noticed some lawn mowers had burnt behind the building.
Firefighters found five lawn mowers had fire damage. Four of those were completely destroyed. The cause of this fire is also being called suspicious and an investigation is ongoing. According to reports, the Glasgow Police Department was called to collect evidence.
