GLASGOW, Ky. (WBKO) – A Glasgow man was arrested early Friday morning on several charges including sodomy.
Police say an officer was flagged down by a juvenile boy and a woman, who said the boy had something he needed to tell police.
The boy said he had been sexually assaulted by Brian Proffitt. He said Proffitt made him perform oral and anal sex on him. The juvenile told police the events happened at the house the woman shares with Proffitt.
Proffitt was taken to the police department for a formal interview where, after waiving his Miranda rights, he at first denied any sexual contact with the boy. But he then said the boy had been making sexual advances toward him, but he did not tell anyone, and that he had also not told anyone about this incident.
During the interview, Proffitt continually made threats to kill both the boy and officers. He said he would have people come from Louisville to carry out the killings, and that if they didn’t, he would finish the deal and take care of their families as well. The police report also says Proffitt said several times that he wanted to die.
Proffitt was arrested and charged with 3rd-degree sodomy, 3rd-degree terroristic threatening, and 2nd-degree disorderly conduct.
