Hardyville woman dies after head-on collision

GLASGOW, Ky. (WBKO) – A Hardyville woman died Tuesday after an accident on North Jackson Highway in Barren County.

James Lockett, 85, of Hardyville, crossed into the northbound lane and struck a minivan head-on driven by 56-year-old Bobby Pennington of Horse Cave.

Both drivers were taken to TJ Samson Hospital for treatment.

The passenger in Pennington's van, 83-year-old Florence Mynes, of Hardyville, was flown to the University of Louisville Hospital where she was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.
