HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (WBKO) -- Kentucky State Police have arrested a Hopkinsville man for assault 1st degree and carrying a concealed weapon after they say he ran over a woman with his vehicle.

On December 21, 2017 KSP responded to a call of a woman who had been ran over by a vehicle.
Through investigation, troopers say Michael Wolff, 21 of Hopkinsville, ran over Ashley Rivera-Mena, 33 of Nortonville, with his vehicle after a verbal altercation in Mannington, KY.
Troopers say Rivera-Mena was transported to Baptist Health Madisonville, where she was then transported by helicopter to a hospital in Evansville, Indiana for non-life threatening injuries.
On December 30, 2017 troopers saw Wolff operating a 2004 GMC pickup on Greenville Road in Hopkinsville. During a traffic stop to arrest Wolff on a warrant for his assault Rivera-Mena, troopers found a concealed handgun in his truck.
Wolff was taken to the Christian County Detention Center.
