Hot Rods debut new food items

The Bowling Green Hot Rods kicked off their baseball season Thursday at Bowling Green Ballpark and the organization is featuring new menu items this year.

The items include fried Twinkies, walking Doritos tacos and chocolate covered bananas. Fans can also enjoy gourmet burgers, with one that is topped with cheese and a hot dog.

"We wanted to keep a variety," Bowling Green general manager Eric Leach said. "And ballpark food is great ,but it can get – if you come to a lot of games – it can get old. We want to have a lot of variety and introduce just fun items."

Other new food items include fried pickles, fried mac and cheese, funnel cake fries and walking chicken and waffles.
