BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Bowling Green also battled the snow and ice Friday. Public works crews turned out at 4:00 a.m. to hit the roads.
They're concentrating on Emergency Routes first, applying deicer to keep the streets from freezing. The city says the crews will be working 24-hours-a-day until this winter storm event is over.
"We're gonna keep our crews rotating on an eight-hour basis," said Public Information Officer Kim Lancaster. "They will continue with the deicer. And if we were to get about an inch-and-a-half to two inches of snow, that's when they will start plowing as well."
Lancaster says you can keep up with Bowling Green road conditions on Twitter, Facebook, and on the city's website www.bgky.org.
