BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- The recent outbreak of Lottery Fever occurred under the leadership of Kentucky Lottery President and CEO, Tom Delacenserie. He joined the Kentucky Lottery last May, after serving 17 years in the Florida Lottery system.

Delacenserie says since its inception, the Kentucky Lottery has contributed more than $3-billion dollars to the education scholarships in the Commonwealth, which he he says is roughly 26% of the Lottery's profits.

"Right here in Bowling Green last year we contributed $17-million to scholarships to Western," said Delacenserie, "and we've done 234-million life-to-date to Western Kentucky."

Delacenserie says 60% of the money the Kentucky Lottery takes in goes to the monetary prizes.
