GLASGOW, Ky. (WBKO) -- A Barren County grand jury will be hearing evidence in a case that resulted in the death of a 24-year-old woman.
The Barren County Sheriff's Office says 24-year-old Shanda Shockley was killed in a rear-end collision on Veterans Outer Loop in Glasgow near the intersection of Edmonton Road.
Deputies say Shockley was stopped at a red light when she was struck from behind by a car driven by 47-year-old Lee Ann Tarry, pushing Shockley's car into the intersection.
Shockley was sent to TJ Sampson Hospital where she eventually passed away.
Tarry was served with an arrest warrant January 27, charging her with murder and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs.
Tarry appeared in court Monday for a preliminary hearing where probable cause was found to send the case to a grand jury.
