FRANKFORT, Ky. (WBKO) -- The woman elected to replace republican State Representative Dan Johnson is sworn into office. Johnson killed himself last year after facing sexual assault allegations.

In a special election in the 49th district last week democrat Linda Belcher defeated Johnson's widow, Rebecca, with 68% of the vote.

Tuesday Belcher was sworn into office by Kentucky Supreme Court Chief Justice John D. Minton Junior to replace Johnson in the state house.
