ALVATON, ky. (WBKO) -- A local Christmas tree farm is switching from growing season and preparing for cutting season as the holidays approach.
At Twin Bridges Tree Farm, people are allowed to go through the farm, pick their own tree, and cut it down.
Eddie Beane, the owner, says this growing season was a great one because of all the rain.
This time of year, Facebook advertisements are going up, signs are being put in the ground to let people know where to park, and families are coming to take Christmas pictures, as the opening of the choose and cut lot approaches.
"It's fun to see all of the kids come out and pick a tree," Beane says, "They run around and really think they are in the wilderness doing something."
The Christmas tree farm opens the day after Thanksgiving each year. It's located on Twin Bridges Road in Alvaton. You can find updates on hours of operation and more information about the types of trees on the farm's Facebook page, Twin Bridges Tree Farm.
