Man arrested for Franklin Pilot Travel Center robbery

FRANKLIN, Ky. WBKO -- A Portland, Tennessee man has been arrested in connection with the February robbery of a Pilot Travel Center.

The Franklin Police Department received tips that led to the arrest of Charles J. Foster.

Foster is charged with robbery 1st degree, theft by unlawful taking over $500, possession of firearm by a convicted felon, and wanton endangerment 1st degree.

Franklin Police say just after 1:00 a.m. on February 5, a suspect entered the Pilot Travel Center at 2929 Scottsville Road and showed a handgun, demanding money.

The suspect fled the scene in a white Pontiac Aztec SUV toward I-65.

Foster is currently being held in the Robertson County Jail on Tennessee charges.
