DANIEL MCFARLAND'S EVENING UPDATE
Saturday, February 6, 2016
24-hour First Alert Forecast 270-467-0373

WARMER WEEKEND:
Today was a tad warmer than what we saw yesterday. We reached 54 for a high in Bowling Green which is 7 degrees higher than yesterday. Don't expect the trend to continue tomorrow, we will not reach the 60s but upper 50s is not out of the realm of possibility. Mostly Sunny skies are expected to continue tomorrow much like what we saw today, but it could be a tad more windy. Late tomorrow night things are expected to change when a low pressure system heads our way bringing with it rain chances.

RAIN AND SNOW EARLY IN THE WEEK:
That same system from Sunday night will be with us on Monday, but the dropping temperatures will cause that rain to change to a mix of rain and snow before all precip goes over to snow showers Monday evening. Occasional snow showers will continue Tuesday ending late Tuesday night. While we're not looking for big snow amounts, minor accumulations are possible through the period along with slippery travel from time to time (especially Monday night into Tuesday). Highs will drop from the upper 30s Monday into the lower 30s Tuesday and Wednesday. Blustery west to northwest winds will make for some frigid wind chills early to midweek!

LATE WEEK:
A slow warmup comes our way late in the period. We'll see highs moderate back into the 40s with dry conditions Thursday into Friday.
