Pension bill filed in Kentucky General Assembly

FRANKFORT, Ky (WBKO)--- A pension bill has been put forward in Kentucky's Senate.

Senate Bill 1 was introduced by Senator Joe Bowen of Owensboro last night.

The bill differs from the plan Governor Bevin has called for as it does not require current or future state employees or teachers to move to a 401(k) style retirement plan.

The current bill also does not call for employees to pay an extra 3% of their salary for a retiree health benefit.
