RADCLIFF, Ky. (WBKO) -- The owner of a popular restaurant in Hardin County is calling his business a total loss after an early Sunday morning fire destroys everything inside.
Firefighters arriving to the scene of "Las Margaritas" in Radcliff fought the flames from above and on the ground for more than three hours, but nothing could save the building.
The assistant fire department chief says the roof began to cave in. From there responders had to act defensively.
Owner Ignacio Ramon says that he has insurance but he's not sure where to go from here.
Ramon has owned the building since 2009. This is something that he never expected, let alone wanted for Father's Day.
An gathering took place inside the business some time before the fire started.
"I'm glad nobody got hurt," said Ramon, "Nobody was here at the moment it happened so it was a blessing in a way."
Officials say they're going through a lengthy investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
