FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) -- Kentucky State Police officers allowed more than a dozen protesters to enter the Kentucky Capitol after weeks of demonstrations.
Representatives of the Kentucky Poor People's Campaign were originally denied entry because of a policy allowing only two protesters inside the building at a time.
Officials said protesters were allowed in after state officials temporarily postponed the permitting process.
Protesters delivered toothbrushes to the governor's office to protest his decision to deny dental benefits to some Medicaid recipients. The decision comes after a judge blocked new Medicaid rules.
