BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Sen. Rand Paul, R-Kentucky got a chance to practice with the WKU men's baseball team Wednesday.
Kentucky's junior senator took a break from his town hall tour across the state to take in a little batting practice.
The Bowling Green republican also took part in stretches and throwing with the team.
Paul said this is all about preparing for the congressional game that will take place later this year.
"They were giving me a little bit of practice because the democrats have won five years in a row. We've got to get our A game on, so we're really working hard. It was really nice of Western, I wear the Western uniform in the game," said Paul.
Paul will continue his town hall tour later this week.
The congressional baseball game takes place in June.
