BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- When you make your coffee run this Friday, you also have the opportunity to give back to local teens in need this Christmas.
The Teen Angel program is having its annual "donation blast" on December 1 at Starbucks from 6:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The Scottsville Road location is the main site, but the Campbell Lane location will also have a donation bucket.
Teen Angel picks up where the Angel Tree Program leaves off. The typical Angel Tree program assists kids up to age 12, so with the Teen Angel Program, kids 13-18 also get to have some Christmas wishes granted as well.
Crocker Law Firm is matching any donations given at either Starbucks location on Friday, meaning the money donated to teens from community members will double.
The money raised will then be given to school resource officers at Bowling Green City and Warren County schools to go shopping for the teens.
In order to be able to fund the program, Crocker Law Firm partners with Community Education each year. People will be standing close to the drive-thru with donation buckets, and there will be have one inside Starbucks as well.
