DAVIDSON COUNTY, Tenn. -- A Davidson County Sheriff's Office lieutenant is on administrative leave after his confrontation with another man while in full uniform.
Fellow authorities arrested Derrick Gleaves Friday night.
Officials say Gleaves followed a man to a workplace parking lot, and as the man walked a woman out of the building to a car Gleaves blocked off the parking lot exit with his own vehicle.
Gleaves then reportedly accused the man of having a sexual relationship with his wife and as the two argued Gleaves pulled a gun out of his vehicle, allegedly yelling that he "should shoot both the man and the woman."
Reports have not specified whether the woman was his wife or another woman completely.
Gleaves left the scene after the confrontation. No shots were fired.
He is on administrative leave as the investigation continues.
