Traffic stop leads to drug arrest in Logan County

RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. (WBKO) - The Logan County Sheriff's Office says a traffic stop led to a drug arrest on Friday morning.

29 year old James Felty was driving eastbound on US 68 when he was found to be impaired. During the traffic stop, deputies found methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription medication that wasn't prescribed to Felty and multiple items of drug paraphernalia.

Felty was arrested and is behind bars in the Logan County Detention Center on the following charges:

Obstructed vision and/or windshield
Improper registration plate
Failure of owner to maintain required insurance, second offense
Failure to transfer motor vehicle
Operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs, first offense
Possession of a controlled substance, first degree, first offense (methamphetamine)
Possession of marijuana
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Possession of a controlled substance, third degree (drug unspecified)
