BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Jon Pellegrino and his friend Justin Sweeney were able to give back to some less fortunate members of the Bowling Green community on Saturday.

The two men gathered at the Foundry Christian Center to provide hot meals for the homeless and low income families.

Pellegrino said it's because of people that helped him when he was growing up that he is able to give back, so it's the least he can do now.

"We're starting to realize that, hey, you know, people that gave back were the reason that we're here now," he said, "so it's our turn - our time to do it as well."

Pellegrino said he'd like to thank the following people and all the restaurants that donated food to make the event possible:

Smokey Bones- John Resch

Montana Grille-John Shoulders

Double Dogs- Gene

Pub By Novo- Gibbs and Sasha

Spillway Bar and Grille- Robert Baxter
