Tyler Higbee's court case continued

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - A professional football player's case was scheduled to be in Warren District Court on Friday, but it was continued to June 12 at 9:00 am.

Tyler Higbee is charged with assault 2nd, fleeing or evading 2nd
(on foot), and alcohol intoxication in a public place after an incident outside of Tidball's Bar in Bowling Green April 10, 2016.

Higbee was arrested for punching Nawaf Alsaleh in the parking lot of the bar after a verbal altercation. Alsaleh was knocked unconscious and sent to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville.

Higbee was the second tight end taken in the 2016 NFL Draft. He signed a contract with the Los Angeles Rams. Higbee spent five seasons at WKU and emerged as a professional prospect in 2015 by catching 38 passes for 563 yards and eight touchdowns in nine games.
