HENDERSON, Ky. (WBKO) -- An undercover agent for the Alcoholic Beverage Control tips off Kentucky State Police about a man driving under the influence.
On January 28, KSP Post 16 received a call from the undercover agent working at a Henderson County liquor store advising a man was in the drive thru trying to purchase alcohol, and appeared to be intoxicated.
A trooper was sent to the scene, and upon his arrival found Kimball Armstead with a strong smell of alcohol on his breath. The trooper asked Armstead to do a series of standard field sobriety tests, then placed him under arrest for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
After the trooper searched Armstead, he found a cigarette box containing two baggies of suspected cocaine and one baggie of suspected methamphetamine.
Armstead was taken to the Henderson County Detention Center where he is facing multiple charges.
