BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Tomorrow, June 20, will be Bowling Green's 20th annual Stand for Children Day to celebrate our kids and what they mean to our community.
Monday sponsors and community members cut the ribbon and read a proclamation declaring this Stand for Children Week. But the big day is tomorrow when 40 organizations will host fun activities for kids from nine till noon at Bowling Green Ball Park.
"A lot of games," says Community Education Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator, Joshua Smith. "Businesses and organizations will have free activities. We've got backpacks available as long as they last for the children."
The event is free and open to all kids from 9:00 a.m. till noon tomorrow at Bowling Green Ball Park. American Bank and Trust and the Kiwanis Club of Bowling Green are major sponsors of Stand for Children Day.
