Western Kentucky signee Anderson to play in Allen Iverson Roundball Classic

Western Kentucky signee Josh Anderson is scheduled to take part in the Allen Iverson Roundball Classic on April 21 in at Churchland High School in Portsmouth, Va.

Anderson is on the Team Loyalty which includes 11 other committed prospects and uncommitted center Brandon McCoy. The all-star game includes a media day, workouts, scrimmages, a 3-point and dunk contest, team practices and an awards banquet.


Anderson helped Madison Prep Academy (Baton Rouge, La.) this season to a third straight state championship in Louisiana, averaging 12 points, 4.2 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game after switching to point guard to fill a void on his team. Anderson shot better than 65 percent from the field.

As a junior, he averaged 18.1 points, 5.8 assists and 4.6 rebounds and is the only player in MPA history to start all four years at the varsity level.
