Bowling Green Police are investigating an armed robbery and assault at a bank night deposit box.
On Sunday night July 20, 2008 an employee of a local restaurant drove to the National City Bank in front of Greenwood Mall to make a night deposit.
As the female employee was walking up to the deposit drop she was approached by a white male who demanded the deposit bag.
When the victim refused, the suspect pulled out a small silver handgun and began repeatedly striking her in the head and face.
The suspect took the deposit bag containing cash and checks and fled the scene.
Police later recovered a broken plastic Crossman Airgun and blood spots next to the bank.
The suspect is described as a white male dressed in a black nylon jacket, black plants with a black and white bandanna covering his face and a black hood or toboggan on his head.
