The Warren County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a residential burglary involving the theft of firearms.

Sometime Friday afternoon, September 25, a home in the Western Hills Subdivision (just off Hilltop Road and Mark Trail) was broken into.

Once inside, the burglar(s) stole eight rifles and shotguns valued at over $5000.

The stole guns included: a Bushmaster AR-15 with a scope, a Marlin model 39A lever action rifle, a Savage Model 11 bolt action rifle, a Winchester Model 1906, a Chinese made SKS rifle, a Franchi Aristocrat Silver King Double barrel shotgun, a Mossberg shotgun and a Remington Model 1148 shotgun.

Neighbors noticed a suspicious small black car driven by a white male in the area sometime around 3:00 p.m.
