It was the only race that mattered in Warren County this primary election, Circuit Court Clerk, and since there is no republican running, democrat Brandi Duvall is your next clerk.
She unseated 30-year incumbent Pat Howell Goad.
Duvall garnered 56-percent of the vote, while Goad lost with 44-percent.
Duvall used to work in the Circuit Court Clerk's office, but decided in 2009 she wanted to run in this election.
She's already got changes she wants to make.
"Organize the filing system, that's one of the problems we have right now. and address the phone issue. Nothing that will cost the state money, just the way we handle phone calls within the office to try to prevent lengthy amounts of time that people stay on hold," said Duvall.
Goad, after her defeat, told WBKO "I thank everyone who voted for me and worked for me."
