I am glad that Rep, Guthrie seems to take the issue of health care seriously. However, if he really believes in the ideas he has cited, why then has there been no actual Republican Bill? I am sorry, but all I have seen in this most recent debate is the insurance lobby purchasing more and more of our elected officials; and they are on both sides of the aisle! The simply fact of the matter is that insurance companies need to be regulated at the federal level the same as every other type of business, they do NOT need to continue their freedom from all anti-trust, monopoly-related, and all other laws that ANY and ALL other businesses have to follow. The attitudes, actions, and INACTIONS of our elected officials in this area are embarrassing and inconceivably shameful.
