While no one in Kentucky won a share of last night’s record-breaking $587.5 million jackpot, there was one ticket sold that matched all five of the white balls drawn but not the Powerball. That ticket is worth $1 million!
The ticket was sold at a retailer in Prospect, located just outside of Louisville. “Our security staff is currently performing a review of the terminal at the location where the winning ticket was sold,” said Chip Polston, the Kentucky Lottery’s VP of communications. “Once this security review is completed, we’ll release the name of the retailer.”
The winning ticket will have these white ball winning numbers:
5 16 22 23 29
Polston advises the winner to sign the back of their ticket immediately and bring it to lottery headquarters on Main Street in Louisville to claim their prize.
All told, there were nearly 125,000 winning tickets sold in Kentucky for last night’s drawing with prizes ranging from $4 to $1 million.
