Supreme Court Will Hear Lethal Injection Cases

The Supreme Court has agreed to rule on whether lethal injection amounts to cruel and unusual punishment.

The high court will hear the case of two area death row inmates in determining the constitutionality of that form of capital punishment.

One of the men, convicted killer Ralph Baze, was scheduled to be executed Sept. 25, but the Kentucky Supreme Court halted it earlier this month.

It is believed that this will be one of the most important death penalty cases in decades.
