Danville Baby Tests Positive for Cocaine

A mother and aunt face serious charges after Danville police say a toddler ingested drugs.

The 18-month old's mother told police the child was stumbling and acting strangely.

After running tests at the hospital, the boy tested positive for cocaine.

When police went to search the boy's home, his aunt refused to let them inside.

"It makes me really upset, being right next door," one neighbor said.

The baby's mother, 20-year-old Ashley Carrier, and his aunt, 24-year-old Jessica Coffman were both charged with first-degree assault and wanton endangerment.

The toddler is now at Kentucky's Children's Hospital.
