The Fletcher administration has revised the state employee insurance premium and they hope to reduce the costs of some of the health care plans. The latest number crunching from Frankfort shows many of the new health insurance premiums have been reduced.
Personnell Secretary Bob Ramsey says the plan released Tuesday did not account for the additional nine point two million dollars Governor Fletcher applied to the program. The money substantially previses the costs of Commonwealth Essential and Commonwealth Preferred plans. The Commonwealth Premium plan stays the same though.
Reductions could range from six dollars to forty seven dollars per month for state employees depending on where they rank on the pay scale. The changes don't apply to single coverage.
