An area fire that happened over the weekend has left many Warren County residents with many questions. On Saturday flames erupted and destroyed a home in Rivergreen Community. Sunday we reported that firefighters did not have an adequate water supply when putting out the fire. Residents are wondering what would happen if their house were to catch fire.
The county and city both have ordinances that outline how much water should be supplied in residential areas. But that water supply is the same at all houses, large or small, and developers are only required to meet the minimum requirements. Joe Liles, Warren County water manager, says a new water line will be installed on Cemetery Road where the fire took place this weekend by 2005 to accommodate the new neighborhoods developing in the area.
