Chaney's Dairy Barn received kudos from USA today for being picked as the best ice cream parlor in Kentucky.

The article listed the favorite ice cream place in each state.

This is the first time Chaney's made the list.

The owner of Chaney's says this is a very humbling experience.

He says the award is not just for him but for all businesses in the community working together.

"I guess we've had fifteen or twenty people who have called us from the interstate wanting to know directions to the place.I say some of them where calling late in the evening and we point out some motels and hotels to them here in Bowling Green and also other places they can go visit. We all work together here in Bowling Green just to try to make things better for each one of us," said Carl Chaney

The USA Today article also said the favorite is hot apple pie topped with cinnamon ice cream.
