Active Day of Russellville had a special treat for its clients that required them to enjoy a sweet treat.

The center designed and built a ten-foot banana split.

The center director said they saw another active day location try it and thought their clients would enjoy it, too.

She says this was also an opportunity for them to socialize with each other.

"We don't base this on any type of award system, we just do this for fun. We promote socialization for them, we just promote healthy things for them to do," said Tammy Dauley.

Dauley says they will more than likely make this an annual tradition.

Next year they're hoping to make an even bigger banana split.
