State employees who still hoped to go to work tomorrow despite pending state furloughs had those hopes dashed today at the hands of a Franklin Circuit Court judge.
Phillip Shepherd ruled against a request for a temporary injunction that would have exempt correctional officers and social workers from Furloughs tomorrow.
The six plaintiffs in the case can still amend their lawsuit and Shepherd threw out the state's motion to dismiss the case.
About 36,000 state employees wont come into work tomorrow, the first of six furlough days. That will hopefully save the state 24 million dollars.
