A Ky. Woman Dies After Suffering Injuries from a Car Accident

A Kentucky woman has passed away from injuries she suffered in a car wreck, outside of Bardstown.

50-year-old Nancy Saunders of Cox's Creek died at the University of Louisville Hospital late last night.

The accident happened on August 25th.

Saunders' car was hit by 55-year-old Rena Sallengs of Bardstown, on Kentucky highway 245, near The Jim Beam Distillery.

Both drivers were trapped in their vehicles.

The Southeast Bullitt County Fire Department was able to get them out and transported them to U of L Hospital.

Kentucky State Police are investigating the accident.
