A church in Florida sparked a heated protest all the way to Afghanistan.
On Monday, hundreds of protesters gathered in Kabul to denounce a Gainesville church's plan to burn the Islamic Holy Book, "The Quran."
As many as 500 people gathered chanting, "Long live Islam" and "Death to America," as they listened to speeches from Islamic leaders.
Some threw rocks when a U.S. Military convoy passed.
General David Petraeus issued a warning about the church's plan, saying images from the burning would be used by extremists in Afghanistan and around the world.
It could even endanger U.S. troops in Afghanistan and Americans worldwide.
