Democratic candidate John Edwards is appearing near the small western Kentucky town of Columbus on Oct. 4.
The visit to Columbus comes after Edwards made an eight-state tour this summer through inner cities and parts of Appalachia and the South.
The tour was to highlight the issues of America's poor.
The visit is to reward a group of supporters who won a contest on his website.
Edwards is speaking at a park that was built as part of President Franklin Roosevelt's new deal program for fighting the depression.
Columbus is 45 miles southwest of Paducah and has a population of 229 people
