A new adult dance club is supposed to open Thursday night. The club is in Cleaton, outside of Central City, and will feature exotic dancing. But a county ordinance could cause problems on opening night.
In June the Muhlenberg County passed an ordinance that outlaws sexually oriented businesses like adult dance clubs. The owner of the club, Mike Green, was worried he was going to be arrested for opening the business. Green says he didn't know about the ordinance though when he applied for the business permit. He says if they shut down the club though he will fight it in court.
The club opens at 8:00 on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night. Since it in the dry portion of the county they will not serve alcohol.
