A new warning system is unveiled for four counties below Wolf Creek Dam.
The plan calls for a total of 16 weather sirens.
The system of sirens will sound a warning throughout Cumberland, Clinton, Monroe, and Russell counties in the event of a dam failure.
The sirens can also be used during times of severe weather and other emergencies.
Currently, Wolf Creek Dam is undergoing repairs by the Army Corps of Engineers to halt erosion at its base.
