Children First: Technology Meets Music

By  |

A new music education program at Lost River Elementary is hoping to teach students music with a hands-on approach. Each student plays a keyboard while the teacher manages lessons with computer software. Some of the lessons include the music alphabet, quarter notes, and tempo.

Program teacher Tiffany Cothran can quiz students via computer. The students enter the answer on their keyboards. She says the program works well with hands-on learning and students are accountable for their own mistakes.

There are more than 80 different lesson plans available.
