The KKK's controversial visit and Bowling Green's Unity Day, ended up costing the city more than $8,500. Only 15 Ku Klux Klan members descended upon the sidewalk outside of Warren County's Justice Center for the Memorial Day Rally. An estimated 150 spectators gathered to witness the spectacle.
Police say the peaceful day was the culmination of a month of planning and extensive cooperation of all local law enforcement, fire and EMS agencies.

Those in uniform only had minor incidents to deal with during the rally. One protester was asked to leave after throwing his cigar at a KKK member. In addition, one member of the Ku Klux Klan was charged with possession of marijuana, after the drug was found in his vehicle.
