Twenty-five-year old Amanda Lynn Hughes of Nicholasville, Ky. has been missing since February of 2006.
Now her case has moved from that of a missing person to a homicide.
Earlier this week, a hunter discovered skeletal remains along the Bluegrass Parkway, now the state medical examiner has identified the remains as those of Hughes.
Kentucky State Police are handling the homicide investigation.
Hughes' father says his daughter was a friendly, independent woman, but hung around a mischievous group of people.
Hughes was the mother of a four-year-old and two-year old little girl.
