Man Arrested on Police Assault Charges

Two men were arrested after one fires a gun at police officers.

State police say a trooper was helping a Hart County sheriff's deputy find a missing juvenile as well as Baron Alexander, who was a wanted person.

When they arrived at the home on Northtown School Rd., the officers knocked on the door but no one answered.

They were returning to their vehicles when Robert McCauley left the residence and fired at the officers.

The trooper returned fire, hitting a vehicle near McCauley who then surrendered.

McCauley was arrested and charged with two counts of assault.

Baron Alexander was also taken into custody on outstanding warrants.

The juvenile was released to the Glasgow Police Department to be returned to her parents.

No one was injured.
