It doesn't look much like a magical toy workshop from the outside, but Rosewood Healthcare Facility has temporarily become South Central Kentucky headquarters for Santa.
Rosewood residents are manning the "Ho-Ho Hotline" as they do every year, fielding calls from kids with questions and requests for Santa.
Every Monday-Friday from now until Dec. 22nd, the hotline will be open between 2-4 pm for kids to call and speak to either Santa, Mrs. Claus, or one of the many elf helpers on hand.
The "Ho-Ho" hotline's number is (270)843-ELF1 (3531).
"It allows our residents to get out of their rooms and communicate with kids even sometimes adults that wanna call in," said Carlie Remole, one the hotline's organizers. "It just gives them something to look forward to during the day because they can sign up on our roster to answer the phone between 2 and 4 pm."
"Oh I just love little kids, always have, always will," said Marsha Woodcock, one of the helpers manning the hotline. And what toys are hot this year? "A barbie doll and a puppy doll," Woodcock said.
