Coroner: Missing Kentucky Women Died of Exposure

A coroner in northern Kentucky says two women died of exposure after becoming lost.

Hunters found their remains near their car, parked in a field near Campbellsburg in October.

88-year-old Ada Wasson and 68-year-old Mary Ellen Walters disappeared in April after leaving a retirement community in Lebanon, Ohio.

Henry County Coroner Jimmy Pollard says Wasson and Walters died of exposure to the elements, and that anything beyond that is speculation.

Investigators think the women became lost while looking for an outlet store, and missed their exit from Interstate 71.
