Kentucky Inmates Hope to Receive Medical Paroles

Dozens of Kentucky prison inmates hope they'll receive medical paroles.

A report by WHAS-TV in Louisville says 27 inmates have been let out in the past three years because of a host of medical problems.

Records obtained by the television station show only one of the inmates released so far has been sent back to prison.

13 of the 27 released inmates have since died.

Severely ill inmates who are deemed not to be dangerous can be let out of prison.
