This week's "One Class at a Time" winner is Mrs. Dana Duncan..a second grade teacher at McNeill Elementary. She was nominated by a parent who says she integrates lots of interesting activities into her curriculum. Mrs. Duncan regularly has a "war against literacy" in her classrom...and hosts memoir parties for students and their families.
Since Mrs. Duncan gave birth on the first day of her maternity leave...the hometown partners gave her a check for 250 dollars in the hospital. She will spend the money after spring break when she comes back from maternity leave.
