A central Kentucky father turns himself in after an Amber Alert was issued for his son last week.
Authorities had been looking for Robin Mapel since Dec. 7.
Mapel took his infant son, Billy Wyatt Mapel, after an argument with the boy's mother.
He then dropped the boy off at the child's grandparent's house.
Mapel says he has done nothing wrong.
He says he was just trying to protect his son from the eight-month-old's unfit mother.
A hearing to decide who will receive custody of the child will be Dec. 17.
